Harrods Opens 6 New Restaurants

Hallelujah! Long gone are the days of grabbing a micro-ed jacket tatty or limp egg sarnie while you’re out shopping (it’s been a long time coming!) as Harrods opens the dreamiest shopping-dining experience we’ve all been waiting for.

What was once the Meat and Fish Hall has since been transformed into The Dining Hall, marking the next stage in their two-year renovation of the lux Knightsbridge department store’s historic food halls. And oh boy, does it certainly lives up to our luxurious expectations! The Dining Hall includes six stunning dine-in restaurants which incorporate produce sourced directly from Harrods’ Roastery and Bake Hall, and its Fresh Market Hall. So whether you’re a sushi kind of gal or, a lover of steak, The Dining Hall will be sure to satisfy your cravings with a dreamy number!

First up, we’ve got The Grill, which celebrates the very finest cuts of meat from Scottish Highland beef to dreamy melt-in-the-mouth Japanese wagyu and, the ultimate comfort foods to go alongside. I mean, who doesn’t love an indulgent truffle Mac n cheese? We’re already salivating over it!

Championing the best of the British sea is The Fish Bar, showcasing ethically caught produce by Harrods own fishmongers, hand-selected daily from the Fresh Market Hall. Of course, no menu is complete without a classic fish and chip combo and their triple-cooked chips are as devilish as they sound! Or lux-out with their lobster cheese toastie, the ultimate comfort food. Mmmm!

Bringing a taste of authentic Indian cuisine to Harrods is world-renowned Michelin star chef Vineet Bhatia. Feast on one of his signature thalis, available as a meat or vegetarian option, as these dishes communicate an essence of his childhood with the nostalgia of home-cooked Indian food. And, you can’t go wrong with a mango lassi too to help wash it all down, yum!

Let the experts choose your sushi order and opt for the Omakase option, a Japanese concept meaning “I’ll leave it up to you”, when you dine at The Sushi Bar. You’ll have a chance to experience the true craft of sushi making as the chefs show off their nigiri and sashimi skills, as well as signature and traditional rolls for all to enjoy.

You can never go wrong with a big ol’ bowl of pasta. Head on over to The Pasta Bar and indulge in homemade pasta, made fresh every day, choosing from classics like traditional cacio e pepe or, fresh pomodorini. Veggies can rest easy knowing there’s a buttery artichoke ravioli just waiting to unveiled.

Oh, you guessed it! There’s another wine bar on the block, and this time though we’re heading on over to The Wine Bar in The Dining Hall. At the centre of it all, Harrods’ expert wine buyers have scoured the world, trialling only the best wineries on offer. And trust me, it’s certainly a wine list to remember! They’ve curated a list of over 100 of the worlds best cuvées to sample by the glass or, savour your experience with a bottle, hand-selected straight from their 1,200-selection in raw fine wines and spirits room downstairs. If you’re feeling peckish, dine like a royal and order from their caviar house menu.
