The Handbook

Have you heard of Ram Quarter? No, well get ready for us to blow your mind, because this little quarter which, no, isn’t filled with sheep with horns or the Los Angeles American football team, is home to a range of swashbuckling activities that’ll quash anyone’s boredom!

Tucked up in Wandsworth, the new home for leisure has a bulging diary of experiences and events ready for the taking, meandering between glass-raising and burger indulging at street-food festivals, to perusing paintings at pop-up art galleries, and everything in between. All of which are up-coming and ready to explore soon!

The quarter with many a string to its bow has caught out attention recently however due to its ballsy new offering that sees visitors whacking out the strawberries and Pimm’s and grabbing a seat, by the big screen, to watch Wimbledon.

Yep, that’s right; running until the 14thof July, Bubbling Well Square will allow you to get game, set, matched and join the rest of the nation who are restringing rackets in heightened anticipation. It’s your chance to recline and soak in the action, tipple in hand.

On 13thJuly, you’ll want to you HOP, skip and jump back to Ram Quarter for Craft Beer by the River hosted by London’s oldest independent brewer, Sambrook’s. As well as a huge selection of craft beers to try, the day festival includes live music and family-friendly entertainment. Unbeerlievable!

Ram Quarter is, in fact, the site of the capital’s former Ram Brewery in Wandsworth. And, another coincidence, the festival takes its name from the River Wandle which flows through the quarter, also the name of Sambrook’s flagship beer.

Choose from 50 craft beers, including  Sambrook’s range of cask and keg beers. If this has got you in the spirit, or the ale rather, then know that there’ll also be a range of food stalls bursting with moreish offerings from London’s food scene, including philli-food concept Liberty Cheese Steak.

There’ll be live soul, pop and funk galore until 6.45pm, kids activities including face-painting which’ll win you some serious parent points, and tours of the historic brewery site to boot.

Not a beer fan but want a piece of the action? Not to fear. Specially selected partners will also be on hand to provide you with other alternatives including soft drinks and gin!

We’re assured that the Ram Quarter is the place to be this summer, and with the whopping range of stuff going on, including Ram in Bloom every Friday, we can hardly say we’re surprised.
