Spring Into Summer With This New Poké And Spritz Menu

Now the warm weather has finally graced the city, we’re itching to find new foodie menus that won’t leave us feeling too full and drowsy. And we’re in luck! The Connaught Bar will be fuelling us Londoner’s through the summer with their new poké and spritz menu, yippee!

Set in the beating heart of Mayfair, The Connaught Bar is tucked away in the luxurious hotel, The Connaught. And they’ve certainly been busy building themselves a reputation, now known worldwide for their signature martinis. So you betcha the new menu defo has some living up to do, and oh does it! Their new light poké bowls see brown rice, sushi rice or salad married together with a rainbow of fresh, nutritious and scrumptious ingredients, and they look blooming good!

So what’s on offer?

Well you’ll be choosing from three delish protein choices – ahi tuna, soy glazed salmon or a citrusy bundle of tofu, tossed on top of either brown rice, sushi rice or salad. Your bowl will then be accompanied by a wide range of toppings including enoki mushrooms, homemade kimchi, crushed avocado, wasabi, seaweed, cucumber and fermented habanero. If you’re craving extra spice, drizzle over some Sirracha and voila, you’re good to go.

And it wouldn’t be a poké and spritz menu without the spritz now would it? The Connaught Bar team have been working away busily creating a menu that fits the new social appetite for ‘lo drinking’, whilst still trying to keep it refreshingly fizzy. Pair your poké with one of their specially created low alcohol spritzes and you’ll be set for whatever the day brings you!

There’s three tantalisingly good spritzes to sink your teeth into. The mini Manhattan combines Woodford Reserve bourbon, Marini Rubino, Abbott’s bitter with a minty soda, while Tanqueray gin, Ketel One Vodka, Cocchi Americano and olive leaf soda are married together to make the olive leaf vesper. Or celebrate 100 years of the Negroni with The Connaught Bar’s basil Negroni concocted of Bombay Sapphire gin, Galliano L’Aperitivo, sweet vermouth blend and basil soda – which sounds mouthwateringly delish!
