The Handbook
The Handbook

Iced tea, gosh we flippin’ love it. It saves us from hangovers and Britain’s occasional heatwave, and it kinda reminds us of being on holiday. But we must admit, our heads were somewhat turned back in February as the UK’s first and only cold brew tea bags, made using real tea leaves were released and, as if by magic, all of our Lipton dreams came true.

We’re not the only ones to have got ourselves in a tizzy either as, this weekend, Real Iced Tea by Lipton are throwing an epic jazz inspired floating festival called Jazz On The Water which, unsurprisingly, will be London’s first! It’ll be the ultimate fun summer day out, with an endless supply of the cool and crisp Real Iced tea, giveaways and its very own pool packed with fruity inflatables. Guests will also benefit from their own reusable Real Iced Tea water bottle to cool them down in the sun.

The Jazz On The Water shenanigans take place for one day and one day only chaps, on Saturday the 10th, and festival goers will par-tea like there’s no tomorrow. The bands will be floating on a stage in the middle of a swimming pool, as you do, and attendees can laze about sipping one or more of the five refreshing Real Iced Tea flavours.

Yes, like the Famous Five and the Scooby Doo crew, Lipton too has clocked on to good things happening in groups of five. Flavours include Black Tea with Peach and Apricot, Black Tea with Strawberry and Rhubarb, Green Tea with Mango and Vanilla, Green Tea with Rose and Elderflower and Green Tea with Mint, and we’re likely going to try them all. Catch us if you can!

The jazzy fest will be headlined by Dat Brass Acoustic Soundsystem who will be adding a jazz twist to some of our favourite classic pop songs. Tea-rrific! There will also be support acts to razzle dazzle you with tunes to warm you up for Dat Brass Acoustic Soundsystem, but fear not, the Iced Tea can cool you on down… Look forward to funky beats from three-piece acoustic band Ozones and upbeat soulful tunes from Low Riders.

Book your Jazz On The Water tickets for FREE here and frolic in fun this Saturday, 10th of August at Green Space, Imax slope via Upperground, South Bank
