Reasons to go to The O2 in October: perhaps to see John Mayer, or to attend Marvel Universe LIVE!, maybe even to watch World Championship Boxing or stand out the front fangirling and trying to catch a glimpse of Drake as he leaves. Well, whatever your reason may be, we’re urging you to forget them, because we’re going for a restaurant. And not one of the chain restaurants that you’d no doubt think of when you conjure up images of The O2, but one with a certain je nais se quois and, most importantly, with much more Champagne.
The Michelin-Guide and 3 AA Rosette winning Peninsula Restaurant (which you’ll find at InterContinental London – The O2) is collaborating with French Champagne house Laurent-Perrier, to create a sensational tasting menu which includes five distinctive champagnes including both classic labels and the new Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature.
The menu veers a little off-piste when it comes to the culinary as Head Chef, Aurelie Simon, includes signature dishes with the likes of hake gravlax with kumquat and deep fried capers served with Laurent- Perrier Vintage 2008; venison fillet with potato truffle terrine, pickled walnut, blueberries and Laurent- Perrier Cuvée Rosé and for pudding, pear mousse with roasted macadamia nuts and caramel with a glass of Laurent-Perrier Harmony.

Just about as excited as the prospect of Champagne galore as we are, Chef Simon says of the concept: “Great level of care and consideration has gone into every taste bestowed in each dish, so I am confident that the experience will achieve what InterContinental London – The O2 is about – creating a memorable moment.”
So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to get fizzical! The menu is available throughout October, think of it as your toast to the arrival of autumn and the perfect reason to go to The O2.
The exclusive menu pairing is priced at £98 per person and is available for dinner throughout October in Peninsula Restaurant. For reservations and more information click here.
