Bookmakers reckon the odds of a white Christmas this winter are narrowing and Britain braces for another ‘big freeze’. But there’s one place that the bookies aren’t willing to take bets is Taste of London – because the festival guarantee a white Christmas for everyone! More on that later…

Everyone’s favourite food festival returns this winter and it’s going to be SNOW amazing. Ringing in the season at Tobacco Dock we’re preparing for four days of education, experiences and, of course, eating! Join some of your favourite foodie brands, celebrities and restaurants at the bonanza.

London has a hard earned place right at the top of the global culinary scene, and Taste of London sets out to celebrate, and build on, this. So look forward to meeting some of the biggest names that have helped build this reputation. Like cookery displays from some of Britain’s top chefs, including Great British Menu winners James Cochran and Selin Kiazim, who will be joined by Elliot Cunningham and firing up some festive fare and Christmas classics.

New additions to Taste of London will include Soho restaurant Berenjak, Thai barbecue-meisters Smoking Goat, F1 champ Lewis Hamilton’s new plant-based burger joint Neat Burger as well as new Middle Eastern  vegetarian Bubala. They’ll be joined by the likes of Taiwanese legends BAO and XU along with Shanxi noodle king Master Wei.

Along with the restaurants and chefs, the food offering would not be complete without over 120 artisan producers. Filling the Grade 1 listed former warehouse at Tobacco Dock, they will transform the venue into a winter wonderland with a loads of foodie workshops from alcoholic jam making to interactive paella-cooking tutorials.

Where there’s food there’s also drink, and Laurent-Perrier Champagne will be popping up (and popping corks) with their Après Ski Club House, just a short distance from Tanqueray No.TEN’s sensory experience. Not to be outdone, vodka brand Ketel One will be back again this year with its famous Kitchen Disco.

As if that wasn’t enough Islington cocktail bar Laki Kane will be presenting a slice of Thai culture with Thailand’s favourite beer: Chang. Experience some unique Chang-inflused cocktails, or go to Kuka Coffee, a secret Espresso Martini bar and enjoy the ideal digestif. Stick around and see the bar ‘transform from bar to rave in a cave’ as evening descends…

And it’s those experiences that make Taste of London. Chill out in the Diners Club VIP Lounge, offering guests access to special entertainment and exclusive food offerings. River Cottage’s Stephen Lamb will be making the ultimate Christmas feast in his festive grotto, dubbed Seasonal Secrets with Steven Lamb.

Meanwhile, Thursday evening will see Taste of London favourites Atelier Salmon, Josh Katz and Simon ‘The Butch’ Taylor create the Feast in the Forest: an exclusive banquet for just 30 guests in a winter forest styled vault. Enjoy flowing champagne on arrival and winter punch cocktails.

And as for the snow? For the first time, Taste of London will debut The Campfire. Complete with roaring fire bits, marshmallow toasting and cosy blankets, Instagram is going to go MAD for the regular ’snow’ showers that will transform the experience into a true winter wonderland!
