Frozen is set to cast its spell over London town this Christmas as the global juggernaut that’s had kids descend into an icicle-tipped frenzy since 2013 hits Hamleys. The world’s most famous toy store has launched a castle installation inspired by the upcoming sequel, Frozen 2 – how it’s taken six years to bring out a follow up we do not know. Hats off to Disney for riding that wave.
And while we couldn’t think of anything worse than listening to hundreds of little girls dressed in questionably fire-safe Elsa costumes belt out Let It Go in a confined space, we know they will love it. If you have a Frozen fanatic on your hands, we recommend taking a trip to the Regent Street store this December.
The fully immersive pop-up features an impressive 2.8 meter tall and 9.5 meter wide castle (it sounds more impressive to the under 5s) and will transport wannabe Elsas, Annas and Kristoffs into a magical kingdom inspired by the new film.
Spoiler alert: on entering the castle, visitors will walk through an autumnal-themed courtyard before finding an array of fun, free and exclusive experiences put on by the Hamleys entertainment team. Forget visiting Santa’s grottos this festive season, each day between 12pm-6pm you’ll be able to have your photo taken with some of the characters themselves.
Plus, each day from midday the castle will open with a ‘welcoming ceremony’ – we’re assuming a Frozen reference we’re not quite au fait with – before guests can learn how to speak ‘reindeer’ (useful), dress up with the castle’s tailor and seamstress and learn how to make recipes with the kingdom’s magical bakers.
Sound fun? Get yourselves down to Hamleys Regent Street throughout the festive season.
