Is This London’s Most Instagrammable Café?

Few women open three eateries and become a mother of two in just under two years, but entrepreneur and patisserie chef Zahra Khan did just that.

Zahra is the brains behind Oxford Street café, Feya, as well as the recently opened Knightsbridge outpost and DYCE – London’s coolest desserts-only shop. As well as being an absolute #GirlBoss, Khan has managed to make Feya arguably London’s most Instagrammable eatery and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. In fact, the impressive interiors (more on that later) have bagged Feya collaborations with the likes of ITV, JLo’s makeup artist and the British Fashion Council. The café itself has also been featured on everyone’s favourite posh reality show Made In Chelsea, thanks to the decor that looks plucked from the pages of Pinterest.

You don’t have to hear it from us, just take a look at their Instagram feed – it will have you simultaneously wanting to ‘gram the café for yourself and redecorate.

The new Knightsbridge café lives up to the original Oxford Street outpost – think copper pendant lights, lit-up ‘Feya’ neon lights, power pink walls and luxe velvet scallop-shaped chairs. To say it’s made for the grid would be an understatement.  While the interiors make for the perfect backdrop for a selfie, the food is just as aesthetically pleasing.

All-day brunch, cakes, coffee and desserts are the USP and each one is as Insta-friendly as the next. From the Pastel Rainbow Smoothie Bowl that’s topped with edible flowers to the Rose Avo Toast (quite literally a millennial’s dream) and the pretty fruit tarts, everywhere you look and everything you eat has been carefully thought out to compliment the Feya concept.

It’s no wonder Zahra’s background lies in baking. In fact, she grew up baking for her family and friends, and was already managing her own baking service while completing her undergraduate pre-med degree in Canada before she came to London to pursue her dreams.

She went to Gordon Ramsay’s Tante Marie Culinary Academy and graduated top of her class, with an award for the best celebration cake. Zahra explains “My favourite type of baking is wedding cakes. I have made my brother’s wedding cake, my best friends’… I even stayed up all night to make my own.” Now if that’s not #GirlBossGoals we don’t know what is.

Head down to Feya on 23 James Street (just off Oxford Street) the new Feya at 146 Brompton Road or check out their sister desserts-only shop, DYCE at 27 James Street.
