First thing that jumps to mind is one of our new favorites in east London, @amber.ldn ! This cute & modern restaurant offers an amazing brunch, lunch & dinner menu of middle eastern inspired dishes. There’s no party like a boureka party @thegoodegg_ … These are the famous fill your own bourekas, pillows of light and flaky pastry with melted feta and a tray of wonderful things to stuff inside. It’s a recipe inspired by the fabulous @urischeft from Tel Aviv’s @lehamimbakery – one of the amazing chefs we met on our trip there in October… and they’ve given their signature recipes to tonight’s special dinner. This is my *favourite* kind of food, flavours from the Levant and Eastern Mediterranean 🧡 I popped into my local for this most glorious of Lebanese spreads from the really lovely family behind @almajles.tooting in south west London 🇱🇧 __ The centrepiece is chicken shawarma with Lebanese mountain village bread, chips, and excellent homemade chilli and garlic sauce 🤤 The bread is lighter than your conventional pitta and has a terrific crunch – one bite and you’re hooked. Plus falafel, reeeeeally good tabbouleh, hummus, labneh, chicken liver with pomegranate molasses, and all of the colourful pickled turnips, chillies and olives 😍💥 __ I adore Lebanese food and would love to head there some day 🇱🇧 Has anyone been, and what did you think of it?
