Looking for a hot-weather treat that will cool you down but also knock your socks off? Take a look at these boozy ice creams and lollies that are strictly adults-only.

The cocktail-meets-ice cream trend doesn’t look to be cooling off anytime soon as a host of new brands infused with booze hit the market. From Speakeasy’s sophisticated tubs to new kid on the block Wavey Ice, the retro ice pops that will pack a punch of nostalgia and a shot of alcohol, try these grown-up treats for your next park jaunt or fancy dinner at home.

Poptails by LAPP

Launched by long-time friends Laura and Cécilia, Poptails by LAPP have turned your favourite cocktails into heatwave-friendly frozen treats. Each frozen lolly is 100% natural, vegan and gluten-free, plus the packaging is fully recyclable – all very grown-up. Head over to their Instagram account too, it’s worth a follow just for the sheer burst of colour and smile-inducing imagery.

Choose from the likes of the Spritz – ideal if you’re into your Aperol, or the Limon Colada to make you feel like you’re on holiday. All come packed with a 4.5% ABV – about the same as a beer.

Available to buy at Planet Organic

What started off as someone selling boozy ice pops in their local park has turned into a bona fide business idea. That was Londoner Alex Situnayake and he’s now launched Wavey Ice, a grown-up nod to the Mr Freeze popsicles that used to turn our tongues blue and induce E-number highs as kids.

The branding is brilliantly nostalgic, taking you back to 90s summer holidays (if you’re old enough), but with liquor-induced flavours, from Sour Apple & Gin to Watermelon & Vodka.

Speakeasy Alcohol Infused Ice Cream

Ice cream but with a bit more is the USP of Speakeasy. The alcohol infused tubs offer some creative flavours that will upgrade pudding time, from the Amaretto that goes perfect with poached pears, to the Cherry Brandy flavour, a dream with anything chocolatey.

There’s actually very little ABV in each tub so you don’t have to worry about a hangover the next day.

Available to buy at Ocado and Booths.

Cheers Ice Cream

With ABVs that range from 3.2% to 8.4% and a range of flavours that include Chocolate Espresso Martini and Classic Mojito, Cheer’s ice cream tubs sit on the more boozy side of things. A great alternative to garden cocktails or served as an accompaniment to grown-up puddings, these seriously tasty tubs are top of our next Deliveroo order.

Also available to buy at Selfridges and AmazonFresh.
