It’s the perfect gift for new beginnings
Designed with celebration in mind, Glenfiddich’s limited-edition edit makes for the perfect gifting experience. Whether you’re celebrating afar or you’re wanting to treat the whisky lover in your life, gift to mark new beginnings to come in the year to follow with one of these bottles.
It’s a limited-edition range
Released especially to celebrate the Chinese New Year, this exciting 2022 pack isn’t the first of its kind. It completes Glenfiddich’s trilogy of thought-provoking stories told through the design of the limited-edition gifting packs.
The previous pack, released in 2020 and 2021, featured Wang’s depictions of a historic trip from Scotland to Asia, nodding to the homeward voyages undertaken by millions every festive season. The story began with Charles Gordon, the son-in-law of Glenfiddich founder William Grant, and his journey to bring the Speyside Scotch whisky to the world. The following year saw the magnificent telling of the ‘Great Homecoming’, where the Glenfiddich Stag honours his triumphant return home with magical and wondrous stories to share.
This year’s edition invites us to look ahead to the future and all that it may bring, from good fortune to new adventures that await us.
The packaging is super cool
Glenfiddich’s packaging is always special but this Lunar New Year edition is as striking as it comes. They worked really closely with the rising star Chinese illustrator, RIon Wang to bring this story to life.
Bold and exciting, the design is bright, colourful and reflects the mood to look forward to the future and new beginnings to come. Glenfiddich’s iconic royal stag has been reimagined, complete with a rainbow of colours and against a backdrop of a starry night. The illustration brings to life memorable symbols associated with the Lunar New Year, from lanterns and fireworks to dancing lions.
It’s rich with intense flavour notes
You can always count on Glenfiddich to deliver on the flavour front. The Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Gran Reserva is a single malt Scotch whisky that’s finished in Caribbean rum casks to infuse a warmth and distinct flavour. On the nose you can extract a natural vanilla sweetness with notes of rich toffee, fig, new leather and oak, while the taste starts off soft, followed by a smoky and spicy finish.
The 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured in a Spanish Oloroso wood and American oak cask, offers candy peel, date and dried fruit with oak notes. Glenfiddich’s 15 Year Old has been matured in an oak tun inspired by the sherry bodegas of Spain and Portugal, and is rich with a lingering sweetness. While the 12 Year Old offers up a long, smooth finish with subtle oak and fruity notes.
