Deli Days: Lina Stores To Open Up In Clapham
When I think about London delis, the first place that immediately springs to mind is Lina Stores. Rich in authenticity and charm, it’s a business that’s happily moulded itself into the capital’s history. Now a favourite amongst every foodie across the city and the ultimate destination for picking up charcuterie board supplies, we weren’t the slightest bit shocked to hear about its expansion plans to open up shop in Clapham.
The Instagram favourite, thanks to its pistachio coloured branding and Italian delights, is set to open up a new restaurant and deli in the heart of clapham, taking over the former site of The Dairy and Counter Culture.
For those who don’t already know, these two new openings will be joining the Lina Stores legacy that dates back to 1944 when their first Soho deli opened its doors for the first time. It’ll provide a new space for locals to grab their last minute dinner supplies, dinner party essentials and picnic saviours.
The new restaurant opening is set to join their Greek Street and King’s Cross restaurants, bringing with it the flavours and dishes that the group is renowned for.
Expect dishes such as burrata raviolini with datterini tomato and toasted pine nuts; tuna carpaccio with fennel, lemon and herb dressing; and 30-egg yolk tagliolini with black truffle, butter and parmigiano reggiano to grace the menu.
Of course we’re almost certain we can expect Lina Stores’ iconic pistachio-hued exteriors and interiors to be on show. This new Clapham opening comes shortly after the group’s Tokyo opening which launched just last month, so it’s clear that we can expect a whole lot more from the London-loved establishment.
Right now additional details are yet to be determined and official opening dates are TBC, but either way we’re excited to see this institute open up new sites.
