From the latest restaurant from the San Carlo group to Big Mamma’s pizzeria opening, there are some really exciting restaurants making their way to the capital this month. As ever, we’ve rounded up a selection of the very best for you to get excited about…

Cicchetti

San Carlo, the restaurant group behind the likes of Alto by San Carlo and Isola by San Carlo, is set to open another restaurant this month in Knightsbridge.

The opening follows the success of San Carlo Cicchetti in Piccadilly and Covent Garden, and will transport guests to Italy in an instant. Expect a buzzy atmosphere, as well as dishes such as gnocco fritto; black truffle ravioli; burrata with smoked aubergine and toasted hazelnuts; and black salt sea bass with herb and olive oil.

The interiors are set to be as Insta-worthy as they come, with the 100-cover restaurant featuring pink banquette seats and plenty of foliage. It’ll also make way for a standalone bar and a private dining room perfect for seating up to 18.

Napoli Gang

Back in August 2020, we saw the Big Mamma group launch their first ever delivery-only restaurant, Napoli Gang. It helped pave the way for the brand, as well as help out one too many Londoners during a busy working week at their home desk. Fast forward to May 2022 and Notting Hill is set to be home to Napoli Gang’s first pizza shop!

The menu will feature the likes of fresh Puglian burrata, parma ham and mortadella, all from Big Mamma Group’s much-loved Italian suppliers. As well as indulgent arancini, cheesy fresh pasta, crazy dolci and fully-loaded pizzas. All available for click and collect, takeaway or delivery.

Expect their beloved pizza favourites to be making an appearance and the biggest, richest and gooiest cookies you’ve ever laid your eyes on.

Their interiors will also be given an elevated playful touch, courtesy of Studio Kiki. Think hot-pink neons and an interior that’s stacked with custom graffiti art that’s been designed by a local artist.
