Sure, you might be busy preparing for next week’s bumper four day weekend but that doesn’t mean you can’t still head out and soak up some of London’s latest installations, hot cross bun cafes and pooch friendly rooftops. Visit Saatchi Gallery’s latest show, RHS Botanical Art & Photography Show 2022

Ahead of attending one of the RHS flower shows, get your floral fix taken care of at the Saatchi Gallery’s RHS Botanical Art & Photography Show 2022. 

Following the success of last year’s show, you’ll be able to explore beautiful botanical artwork and garden photography at its finest. See works from artists from around the world, all who are competing to get an RHS Medal.

Get into the spirit of spring with 34 Mayfair

Spring has finally sprung and so has 34 Mayfair’s striking ‘Spring Dawn’ campaign. Created in collaboration with Perrier-Jouët Champagne and KI NO BI Gin, the restaurant has been transformed into a mustard yellow, floral haven, complete with fresh seasonal dishes and live instrumental jazz evenings. 

Celebrate the longer days with a special menu of spring dishes. Highlights include burrata with charcoal-roasted beetroot, walnut and pedro ximénez dressing;  scallop and sea bass ceviche with finger lime, yuzu and green apple; and surf & turf with native fillet and grilled tiger prawns served with lobster bordelaise sauce. 

There’s also a stunning cocktail menu too, including a signature sip , ‘Something CLassic’, made with Ki-No-Bi Navy Strength gin, Lillet Blanc, Noilly Prat and a blue cheese olive, served ice cold.

Get your hot cross bun fix at this dedicated cafe

We’re team hot cross bun in The Handbook office so we were ecstatic to find out that Tesco is launching the UK’s first restaurant dedicated to the fluffy sweet baps this Easter. 

Available for one week only, Londoners are invited to head down to Shoreditch to try out their exciting Easter themed menus, from brunch and afternoon tea to an adults-only five-course hot cross bun fine dining experience. 

Expect a whole menu dedicated to the buns, including vegan ‘hot cross bangers and smash’; hot cross scones; hot cross bun steak tartare; and even hot cross bun espresso martinis. We hope you’ve got a sweet tooth…

All proceeds will be going to Tesco charity partner, the Trussell Trust who are helping to provide emergency support and food to people in crisis.

Explore this striking solo exhibition by Rana Begum

Head somewhere new this weekend and visit Rana Begum’s solo exhibition at the Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery. On display until September, the exhibition, titled Dappled light, explores the perception of light, colour and form, blurring everything we know about sculpture, architecture, design and painting. 

On display will be a selection of Rana’s work, including a new large-scale multicoloured mesh installation that’s suspended from the ceiling.

Check into this Disney exhibition

One for the Disney fans… This spring sees The Wallace Collection’s new exhibition dedicated to Disney’s animation, offering a space for lovers of the franchise to explore the magic come to life like never before. 

On display from April until October, the exhibition explores the connection between American 20th-century hand-drawn animation and French 18th-century art. You’ll be able to see how some of your favourite characters and narratives were first brought to life, from idea through to the present-day animations.
