Add some colour to your weekend at this fun new exhibition
A brand new solo exhibition from Emma Gibbons will be landing at the Reem Gallery this weekend, adding some much needed colour to the capital.
The exhibition, titled Pop It Like It’s Hot, bursts onto the scene with its eye-catching colours, documenting Emma’s exploration of consumption, addiction and excess. Expect to be mesmerised by her lollipop pieces and the striking artworks made up of 20,000 handmade glitter capsule pills.

BBQ in style at Kindred’s Party in the Square
Bringing the fire this mega bank holiday weekend is members’ club Kindred who will be seeing in the weekend with a BBQ and live music. Taking over Bradmore Square on Thursday, the party is open to all, serving up all of the Jubilee energy you could need.
Expect a live band playing pop, soul and jazz classics and a DJ set from sir DJ Corey, while chef Andrew Clarke will be cooking over the coals, offering a one-off menu of BBQ dishes. Barbecue dishes include jerk brined herb fed chicken legs with Alabama white sauce and jerk BBQ; Tamworth pork baby back ribs with jalapeno apple verde; roast cauliflower with Vadouvan butter and curry leaf yoghurt; and sides of cornbread with honey butter; and grilled sweetcorn with parmesan cheese, buttermilk crema and ancho butter – yum.

Join The Lane for an after-hours royal theatre tour & cocktails
Britain’s Royal Theatre, Theatre Royal Drury Lane – known as The Lane – is celebrating Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in true regal style this June. They have been busy creating special experiences fit for The Queen, including an after-hours Royal Theatre Tour, regency afternoon tea by Lily Vanilli and a special cocktail offering.
Running exclusively until 19th June, the tours will begin at 9:45pm in the Cecil Beaton Bar where guests can enjoy The Queen’s Punch cocktail, made from quintessentially British flavours including Dubonnet, gin and earl grey. The tour will then take place, moving from room to room of the recently restored theatre, journeying through nearly four centuries of the British royal family’s love affair with Drury Lane: the patents, the proclamations and the scandal.

Join Petersham Nurseries for their summer fete
Petersham Nurseries will be transforming their Richmond home into a summer fete this weekend, filled with street food, picnicking and special live performances.
Taking place on Friday and Saturday, guests will be greeted with stunning installations of seasonal plants and flowers upon arrival, before making way for the festivities to commence. Expect stalls serving up delicate finger food, from coronation chicken sandwiches and scotch eggs to homemade piadine – grilled flatbreads- drawing on Italian flavours.
Expect musical entertainment too, colouring competitions for the kids and picnic areas for all to soak up the Jubilee atmosphere.

Stop by IWM’s new royal exhibition
Paying tribute to Her Majesty The Queen is the Imperial War Museum’s latest exhibition, Crown and Conflict: Portraits of a Queen in Wartime. On display until early January 2023, the exhibition takes a look at Queen Elizabeth’s 70-year reign and in the decades before and the conflict across the world.
The exhibition explores The Royal Family’s role in conflict, tracing The Queen’s personal experience of war through these times in rarely seen film and photography. This free exhibition will span 18 photographs charting The Queen’s experience of war, from growing up in the Second World War to carrying out important public duties involving the armed forces.

Party it up at this BBQ & brunch feast
Putting on the show this bank holiday weekend is Paddington’s Smith’s Bar & Grill. Over the weekend you’ll find them serving up some seriously delicious food, from a BBQ feast packed out with tasty smokey classics and a live saxophone performance, to bottomless brunch to keep you going and power through the hangover.
Come Sunday, they’ll be winding down with a sharing style road, featuring expert cuts of meat including roast British dry-age grass-fed chateaubriand and roast leg of lamb. Plus, bottomless wine – what’s not to love?
