If you’re fed up with traipsing to the same three places week in and week out, we’ve got the perfect remedy that’ll see you falling back in love with the capital.
From Wimbledon menus to the new fashion market to know about, read on to find the best weekend inspiration.
In partnership with Bateaux London
Bateaux London has been providing Londoners with magical date nights for more than 25 years, filled with exquisite food, live jazz and unrivalled views overlooking some of the capital’s iconic landmarks. They’ve recently excelled their offering even further with the launch of The Pier, an all new cocktail bar, including a wide range of gins and whiskies, that’s set to be this summer’s hottest waterfront opening.
Guests have always been invited to jump aboard from Embankment Pier and enjoy an evening cruise along the Thames, all while indulging in dishes prepared by the onboard culinary team. There are different dining packages depending on your budget too, from the Gold Dinner which will see you enjoying a seasonal three course dinner, half a bottle of red or white and mineral water per guest, live music all evening and the evening cruise experience, to the Platinum dinner which sees diners diving into a seasonal five-course à la carte dinner, aperitif upon arrival, free-flowing red or white wine and water with dinner, plus the best seats guaranteed. There’s also a stellar roast option on Sundays.
The Pier takes this experience to a whole new level, providing the perfect spot for warm weather catch-ups over cocktails, post-work drinks or a pre-dinner aperitif with your date.
The cocktail menu, curated by their team of mixologists, plays tribute to the oldest rowing race in the world, Doggett’s Coat and Badge. Start the night off right with the First Race, a delicate blend of Tanqueray Gin, Poire William, pear juice, sugar syrup, egg white and lime juice, before enjoying the winning mix, ‘The Winner Takes The Coat’, a mix of Bacardi Rum, BLue Curacao, ginger ale, cucumber and lemon juice. Finish with the Last Wish – think Nikka Japanese Whiskey, sweet vermouth, Campari and orange bitter.
A night by the Thames is always magical, but a night at Bateaux London will always steal the show.

Get ready for emotionally devastating lyrics and low silky vocals as Lucy Dacus returns with her third album, Home Video. The album breaks down the town she grew up in, Richmond, Virginia, and sees the life of her past, from young love through to religion.
If you don’t already know Dacus, she’s one third of the indie rock band, Boygenius, and is, in our opinion, one of the best singer-songwriters working right now.
