Parisian powerhouse Isabel Marant joins the likes of Gucci, Alexander McQueen and Saint Laurent at luxury discount outlet Bicester Village.
There are a few secrets to shopping high fashion on a modest budget, from sample sales to rentable wardrobes, but Bicester Village is perhaps the worst kept one of them all, housing over 160 of the world’s most luxury brands at frugal price points.
Marant's opening at Bicester should be music to the ears of any self-confessed fashion fan.
The Oxfordshire-based complex is so much more than a designer outlet, in fact, a visit is a complete day out in itself thanks to pop-ups events, boutiques spanning women, men and interiors, and restaurants including Café Wolseley and Shan Shui.
Isabel Marant is the latest brand to take up residence and will span shoes, jewellery and ready-to-wear, bringing the Parisian line to more modest budgets.
Plus, due to Covid restrictions, Bicester are currently running a virtual shopping experience, meaning if you can’t get to the bricks and mortar stores, you can shop from home with the same discounted prices.
Known for its realistic approach to dressing women and a consistent boho aesthetic, the brand has become synonymous with elevated shoulders, Western-style fringing, romantic blouses paired with tough rock ‘n’ roll heels, boho prints and metallic lamé. Marant has won celebrity fans, from Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to Kate Bosworth and Alexa Chung, which, along with the brand’s realistic approach to dressing, makes it probably the most ripped off by the high street.
Thanks to Bicester, it’s now easier to nab the real deal at a more affordable price point.
