Get involved in a fun clean up
In partnership with REN Clean Skincare
Looking for a new way you can help out your local community? Get involved in one of these fun free clean ups.
Luxury beauty brand, REN Clean Skincare has teamed up with Not for Profit organisations, including Surfrider and Planet Patrol to host coordinated clean up across the US and UK. And you can get involved too!
As part of their mission to be zero waste by the end of the year, REN Clean Skincare hosts clean ups with Planet Patrol all over the UK, combining fun activities with litter picking. From stand-up paddle boarding to parkour, yoga to plogging, you can help do your bit for your local area all while having a laugh at the same time.
This week REN Clean Skincare is cleaning up Hackney Wick Canal with Plastic Patrol and its #WeAreAllies partner brands to celebrate World Ocean Day. Their #WeAreAllies campaign defies industry conventions, forming an alliance with four competitors: Biossance, Caudalie, Herbivore and Youth To The People – it’s a shared goal of helping to tackle the environmental crisis regarding packaging waste.
To volunteer, check out Planet Patrol’s upcoming schedule here. If you can’t make it down to one of the clean ups or fancy getting involved this weekend, download the Plastic Patrol app on your phone and record any litter that you find on your daily commute or weekend wander. It’s a simple way we can all do our bit for the environment, while raising awareness of the waste caused by companies and holding them accountable.

Listen to our album of the week, Wolf Alice – Blue Weekend
The first time I saw Wolf Alice live was at Reading Festival and midway through the performance lead vocalist, Ellie Rowsell, stopped singing to welcome a couple on stage, with the girlfriend proposing to her love right in the heat of the set. And it’s one of those festival moments you never forget.
This Friday sees Wolf Alice release their third LP, bringing with them an anthem-led album filled with cathartic sounds and their punchiest lyrics to date. The brightest shining light in the current British indie rock scene, we’re super excited to see where this album mentally takes us.
