On Wednesday’s we wear pink, and at DUO London we afternoon tea! The Mean Girls afternoon tea that’s coming to London is proving that, in fact, you can sit with us, as the movie-themed treat swings open its doors… no burn books allowed. Whilst the Mean Girls afternoon tea might be trying to make fetch happen, we don’t care because we’re too excited. The tea has hop, bopped and whizzed across the pond to try and make us pile on the pounds, like Cady tried to do with Regina… but we’re going to comply and attend, even though we disagree, because […]
We’re all guilty of having one too many when we’d promised ourselves we’d go home after a swift single. The morning after, rather than opting for the trusty fry-up or *berrying* your head in your pillow, opt for a fruit drink that’ll revive you, leaving you feeling full...
Bottomless frosé brunch? Oh, go on then you cheeky devils! Tipples just a whole lot more sexy for summer as W London launch a brunch so pink Barbie would be jealous. Frosé – or frozen rosé, for those who dabble in pints, pies and have no idea what on earth frosé is, will be found in pretty pink abundance at the Leicester Square-based hotel this summer, welcoming guests to grab a drink and a brain freeze just in time for summer. The newly launched brunch will be available every Saturday and as all good things come in sixes – or […]
M Restaurant has taken the words of Bill Knott’s (Financial Times restaurant critic) and turned them into their new brunch concept. Talking of chef Michael Reid’s menu, Knott wrote that the menu ‘matches beauty with the beast’ and so this newly launched brunch has two sides to it. Light, fresh dishes matched with delicate, sparkling cocktails make up one half whilst the other consists of heartier, meatier dishes and cocktails with oomph. For me, the brunch was an instant hit and one that everyone should try and here’s why: The Beast For those in need of something meatier, punchier and […]
Chew chew! All aboard the Tattinger Express, a non-stopping service straight to your liver. Someone at Burger & Lobster has decided that the most efficient way to serve Champagne is to send it via trainset, and so for the restaurant’s new bottomless Champagne brunch they’ll be firing up the miniature railway and sending your drinks on the length of the nine-metre bar. Putting a whole new meaning to ‘the fat controller’, you can gorge on the full a la carte menu, which includes their ‘famous’ prime cut Nebraskan 10 ounce burger or wild Atlantic lobster (apparently one of the few […]
Since its opening in 1929, Quaglino’s has always been the place to see and be seen. It’s been London’s watering hole for A-listers, the arts set and royalty. Princess Diana snuck through the kitchens, a table was permanently reserved for Princess Margaret and it was the first public restaurant ever visited by a reigning monarch when the Queen and Prince Philip dined in 1956. Having survived both the recession of the early 1990s and 2000s it has continued to be the go-to place for partying, entertainment and no doubt side of scandalous behaviour. When smoking was in, everyone turned into […]
When reviewing restaurants you always hope that the chef will read the article, and if they take onboard the feedback you gave about the chips not needing to be served in a mini deep fat fryer (whoever thought that was a good idea needs to have a word with themselves) then even better. What you don’t expect is for the restaurant to take your words and use them to create a whole new brunch… but M Restaurants has gone there. They’ve taken Bill Knott of the Financial Times words “Stylish and ambitious…Michael Reid’s menu matches beauty with the beast” and […]
Believe it or not, this isn’t the first Beyonce brunch on the block – you may or may not have feasted at Ace Hotel’s Brunch with Bey back in 2017 or various others scattered across the globe – alas, this brunch looks like something worthy of putting a ring on. Single ladies, and gents and, well everyone, can enjoy this brunch experience that will feature a five hour – yes, FIVE hour – tribute to the Queen Bey herself, with an up-close performance from a vocalist and troupe. We can’t tell if we’re jealous or crazy, jealous or crazy for this brunch; […]
A recent study found London to be the most Instagrammed capital city in the world – take that, Paris! Whilst Hyde Park nabs the top spot, there are certainly restaurants that we consider worthy of a ‘gram, be it a dish plated up like a work of art, particularly cool interior design or just a good old brunch. Here is our pick of the most photogenic destinations in London that will have you reaching for your phone. After all, if it isn’t caught on camera, did it really happen?
Back in 2013, three London friends, Tom Stancliffe, Rob Martineau and Guy Hacking, ran 1,000 miles across Eastern Europe to raise awareness of human trafficking, joined by 250+ runners on the way – Forrest Gump style! Off the back of this, TRIBE was founded. Frustrated with processed sports snacks, they now make performance nutrition from natural ingredients, to give athletes the fuel they need. They’ve built a strong community of runners, who you’re likely to see pounding the streets of London. We caught up with the guys to find their favourite post-run lunch spots around London, from the heart of East London […]
