Soul Music and Christmas Shopping

We all love Christmas, and we all love getting presents. But what about buying presents? Admittedly, sometimes this can get a little stressful. A bottle of bubbly or a box of chocolates may suffice at the best of times but why not mix it up this year? Festival and event curators Marbles and Ware Collective host a ‘bizarre bazaar’ every year, and this year is no different. Every weekend, until 17th December, The Vaults will be home to the bazaar. Independent artists, traders and makers will be showcasing and selling their unique vendibles. Treat your loved ones to handcrafted jewellery, […]

Oh Schnapps, Après Comes to Bodo’s Schloss

While not all of us are smooth on the slopes, there is one thing we are all good at: après. This winter, Après Ski London have teamed up with Bodo’s Schloss (where else?) to bring the alps to your doorstep. Kicking off from midday, there’ll be snow cannons, reindeer – yes, they will be real, and an hour of complimentary Moët Chandon cocktails. Following the cocktails will be 2 hours of Austrian inspired brunch buffet, getting you ready […]

Poetry Meets Gin at Beefeater’s Distillery

Creative juices will be in abundance this winter at Beefeater London’s Kennington Distillery with their series of cultural and creative events, known as The London Tonic Series. The first of the events will be a spoken word with celebrated poet and musician Joshua Idehen; it’s fitting that gin was the favoured tipple of literary heroes of the past. The distillery is set to be transformed into a speakeasy, in the truest sense of the word. Idehen will be reciting verses in his signature style, while attendees will be given different gins and bespoke literary cocktails. Sure, we all turn into […]

The Manhattan Club’s Christmas in Harlem

1920s America was a glamorous, debaucherous time. Speakeasies popped up all over the country and were often frequented by the notorious gangsters of the time. This Christmas, The Manhattan Club are reviving this time with their speakeasy pop up Christmas in Harlem. Don’t worry, it will be perfectly legal to drink alcohol here, in fact, you’ll be handed a cocktail upon arrival. The bar will be hosting a series of lunch and evening banquets, with menus being inspired by that which was served to President Calvin Coolidge in 1924 at the Waldorf Astoria. Along with their welcome cocktail, guests will […]

You don’t need us to tell you how popular street food is, you already know that. What do you need to know though is that this month Peckham will see the launch of the aptly named ‘Peckham Feastival’.
