No Mean Feat At The Wheatsheaf

On Tuesday The Handbook headed to The Wheatsheaf, a pub ideally placed next to Borough Market and London Bridge Tube. The place was bustling, surprising so early on in the week, and the owner assured me that at the weekends it can be hard to squeeze everyone in. Impressive considering the place has only been open for 6 weeks. The staff were visibly a bit harassed but only because there were so many people and not that many of them – we were still served before the irritation set in however. The pub has a D.I.Y scheme – you tick […]

Gourmet burgers arrive in Cambridge

The burger may be regarded as the staple of fast food restaurants and late-night drunken feasts, but Byron are working hard to re-invent the burgers image. The launch in March will introduce the University City to gourmet patties made with quality Scottish beef, minced freshly every morning and served in a soft squishy bun. All burgers are delicious and of top quality – options include The Classic with Chilli (green chilli, chipotle mayo, shredded lettuce, American cheese) and […]

Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor take on VIVA FOREVER

February begins with a ‘hurrah’ sounded throughout the UK as those who managed to abstain from drink throughout January finally crack.
