Bottomless Pizza at Gordon Ramsay’s New Restaurant

He might normally make a lot of noise in the kitchen, but Gordon Ramsay has rather quietly opened Street Pizza within Bread Street Kitchen. He’s kept things casual, saying that ‘pizza doesn’t need to be complicated’ so for £15 you’ll get bottomless sourdough pizza served by the slice in five flavours: Margherita, pepperoni, charred aubergine, corn and chorizo and a daily changing special. Cocktails will start at just £6, female DJs will take to the decks throughout the week, you can’t book and most importantly (after the pizza) there’s a Negroni ice-cream machine. As Ramsay says,  “If there’s one thing […]

Awesome Afternoon Teas

The Corinthia Launches A New Afternoon Tea And It’s Exactly What We’ve Been Waiting For

Don’t get us wrong, we love a quirky new afternoon tea! But when the email from this or that hotel arrives heralding their latest tea, themed on Fire Extinguishers or Oversized Sports Direct Mugs (okay, you got me, I’m literally looking at items around me in the office, but that’s how random they sometimes are, like seriously), sometimes we just yearn for a simple, old fashioned afternoon tea. Then The Corinthia got in touch. Finally, no cakes shaped after Disney characters, no hackneyed links to tenuous events or celebrations, no corporate tie-ins, just a plain and simple traditional afternoon tea. […]

A Sneak Preview Of Hide, The New Dabbous Restaurant

As Ollie Dabbous double locked the door of his eponymous restaurant for the final time and walked into the sunset, Michelin Star poking out of his cardboard box of possessions, we all knew that he’d be back. Well now he is and in serious style. Welcome to Hide. Dabbous quickly built one of London’s most sought after eating spots in London when he launched back in 2012. His wonder-restaurant seemingly came out of nowhere and raced to the top of everyone’s go-to list. Now he’s had a year in the wilderness (not quite, he launched the highly successful restaurant at The Henrietta), […]

We Review: Bryn Williams at Somerset House

What? Bryn Williams, the celebrated Welsh chef has just opened his first London restaurant in a decade. And it’s all about the vegetables, without being vegetarian. Rather, it champions vegetables, putting them centre stage not just a mere side dish, with meat and fish taking to the wings. New? Yes, it opened at the start of March. I’m sure its opening at the start of March had nothing to do with the start of spring and much more to do with when they were ready to do so, but a veg-centric restaurant opening when the days are getting lighter seemed […]

The New French Joint Opening In Primrose Hill

Ferme the front door! There’s a new restaurant coming to Primrose Hill and we’re kinda excited about it. Step forward La Ferme (the farm)! Opened initially as a market stall and then a Farringdon restaurant by a precociously young 20-year-old François Guerin in 2012, La Ferme is a medley of French seasonal cooking and ingredients. The young chef has teamed up with his step brother Guillaume Dunos who will Head Chef the new venture. Dunos has worked in restaurants including Paris’s Gouquets, Prince de Galles and Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme so should be well suited to this new venture. And what […]

Don’t Miss White City House, It Looks Amazing

Not a week seems to go by without another Soho House opening, so eyebrows remained entirely un-raised at the news that White City House is coming in just a fortnight’s time. Which is probably unfair, because it looks like it’s going to be a stunner and deserves way more attention than no doubt it’ll receive. And what’s more, it’s literally on the set of Blue Peter, Panorama and, um, Jim’ll’fixit. Well, nothing’s perfect, but White City House comes close… The West London outpost of the group will boast 45 bedrooms within the original TV Centre ‘doughnut’, a members’ space including […]
