Eclipse Easter

Sometimes it seems like Christmas gets all the press when actually there is a lot to love about Easter; the hot cross buns, the chocolate, Easter egg hunts and how could we forget the four day weekend? Revelling in the fact that there is no work on Monday, Eclipse Chelsea  are opening on Sunday night until late – because we have to make the most of the fact there is no commute. DJ Jamielisa will be playing the best house music, they’ll be live bongos and staff dressed as bunnies will be serving up the best cocktails around. Those partying […]

How to get a celebrity involved with a charity

Many celebrities consider charity work to be essential to their personal brand. Commentators have gone as far to suggest that they are in it for purely selfish interests. The press coverage Angelina Jolie receives for visiting third world countries is extremely beneficial to her profile. That’s not to say charities don’t reap the rewards either – financially and otherwise. Numerous charities manage to generate huge publicity and much needed funds through the support of celebrity involvement, often taking the charity to a whole new level, and providing support that they would otherwise not have benefited from. Here are some of […]

The Ultimate Guide to London’s Caterers

Forget the music, forget the entertainment, the atmosphere – often when it comes to parties what you really remember is the food. We’ve all been there when the canapés consist of a few crisps – who cares if Beyonce is playing, you want a decent canapé.  Equally though, if the food is spot on then it doesn’t matter if the electricity went and you’re eating in the dark because hey they nailed those goats cheese tarts. From exploding jelly to dishes for our canine friends, choose one of these top London caterers and you’re event will be a success – here […]

Restaurant Story presents ‘Bedtime Story’.

We promised ourselves we’d be healthy this week but we put that idea to bed when we heard about Restaurant Story’s new ‘Bedtime Story’. This involves a selection of digestifs paired with chocolate bars by Cocoa Runners. The digestifs include pisco, mezcal, whisky and chartreuse. There are five bed time storys to choose from. We’d like all five but we think if we were to go down that route we probably wouldn’t wake up for a few days. Our favourites include the Somerset Cider Brandy 5YO paired with The Chocolate Tree Peru Nacional and the Whisky 15YO paired with the […]

Experience Egypt with Aladino’s Restaurant.

The bad news is we’re not in Egypt roaming the local food markets. The good news is that we have the next best thing. Aladin Barakat, acclaimed chef and restaurateur by Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, has brought Egypt to us. His stylish restaurant sports a personalised brand of the countrys finest cuisine. The starters range from traditional lentil soup with Aladin’s special twist. Oooo intriguing! Or for something less surprising try his famous prawns in a delicately-flavoured crispy coating. The main dishes include his signature dish of lamb that has been marinated and then slow-cooked to such a tender state that […]

At just 30 years old Stevie Parle is already an acclaimed chef, restauranteur author, food writer and TV presenter and now he has just announced the arrival of Craft London opening at the end of April at the Greenwich Peninsula (it makes us wonder what we might achieve if we forgo our Netflix obsession). Designed by the Design Research Studio and under the creative direction of Tom Dixon, Craft London (which started off as a café and roastery in October of last year) is now getting a bar and restaurant which will be focusing on creating world class quality products. […]
