PizzaBuzz to mix it up on Worship Street

So we’re already down with pimping our salads or sandwiches from myriad options on display at the counter. But what if we could do the same with our pizzas? Well, come June, we’ll be able to do just that at PizzaBuzz opening at the new Alphabeta development on Worship Street where punters will be encouraged to work their way down the service bar, customising everything from base to deli toppings as they go. Restaurant Story presents ‘Bedtime Story’.

We promised ourselves we’d be healthy this week but we put that idea to bed when we heard about Restaurant Story’s new ‘Bedtime Story’. This involves a selection of digestifs paired with chocolate bars by Cocoa Runners. The digestifs include pisco, mezcal, whisky and chartreuse. There are five bed time storys to choose from. We’d like all five but we think if we were to go down that route we probably wouldn’t wake up for a few days. Our favourites include the Somerset Cider Brandy 5YO paired with The Chocolate Tree Peru Nacional and the Whisky 15YO paired with the […]

Wondering where to go for lunch on Easter Monday? Well if you live in west London why not give the Smokehouse Chiswick on Sutton Lane North a try for modern barbeque food in a restored local pub. The new venue comes from Noble Inns, the folks behind The Princess of Shoreditch, Pig & Butcher and Smokehouse in Islington and Bad Egg diner. The menu has been created by Executive Chef Neil Rankin, who learnt his trade at Barbecoa, as Head Chef at Pitt Cue Co, and then later at John Salt. His cooking will celebrate small farms, and rare-bread meat […]

Experience Egypt with Aladino’s Restaurant.

The bad news is we’re not in Egypt roaming the local food markets. The good news is that we have the next best thing. Aladin Barakat, acclaimed chef and restaurateur by Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, has brought Egypt to us. His stylish restaurant sports a personalised brand of the countrys finest cuisine. The starters range from traditional lentil soup with Aladin’s special twist. Oooo intriguing! Or for something less surprising try his famous prawns in a delicately-flavoured crispy coating. The main dishes include his signature dish of lamb that has been marinated and then slow-cooked to such a tender state that […]

At just 30 years old Stevie Parle is already an acclaimed chef, restauranteur author, food writer and TV presenter and now he has just announced the arrival of Craft London opening at the end of April at the Greenwich Peninsula (it makes us wonder what we might achieve if we forgo our Netflix obsession). Designed by the Design Research Studio and under the creative direction of Tom Dixon, Craft London (which started off as a café and roastery in October of last year) is now getting a bar and restaurant which will be focusing on creating world class quality products. A restaurant with a focus on whisky that’s open all day? I’m listening. Bull in a China Shop opens early April bringing with it over 30 choice Japanese and Scotch whiskies to the thirsty masses. Soaking up the alcohol will be a tempting menu of Chinese spiced, whisky glazed rotisserie chicken, black charcoal brioche buns, superfood salads and a host of breakfast bao buns, smoothies and sweet and savoury congee (rice porridge) for early risers. Chef Simon Chan is the man behind the reworked classic dishes, giving them a contemporary twist while the concept of the restaurant itself is from […]
