Will it rain, will the sun shine, will the weather change its mind several times a day make outfit planning last twice as long in the morning as we try our best to guess? Bentley’s Review

Bentley’s, on Swallow Street, is situated in a historic Victorian building on the borders of Soho and Mayfair. The restaurant came to life in 2005, when it was taken over by talented chef and restaurateur Richard Corrigan. He refurbished the venue to its former glory, making the building one of the oldest and most prestigious seafood restaurants in London today. Their passion and skill for seafood is clear as soon as you taste the food; our favourite was the Bentley Lobster which was full of flavour and a definite recommendation. A close second were the delicious oysters, but if you […]

Cubitt House Alfresco

Starting tomorrow is the first ever Grosvenor Film Festival hosted by The Nomad Cinema. With four dates, 10th, 11th, 17th and 18th July, they’ll be showing classic films such as Goldfinger and When Harry Met Sally. So as not to disturb the neighbours it will be a silent cinema with wi-fi headsets, we’re guessing that means you can control the volume, so won’t have to listen to any loud popcorn eaters. It’s not just the cinema we’re excited for though, the Cubitt House will also be there (they’re the guys behind pubs such as The Orange and The Grazing Goat) serving […]

Remember when food was a little bit cheaper?  When you weren’t paying £12 for a bowl of porridge (I think they must have been oats dusted in gold) or half your wages on a cocktail? Well in celebration of its 30th birthday local favourite, The Chelsea Bun Diner on Limerston Street, is treating its customers and serving all its food at its opening 1984 prices until the end of tomorrow. Hurrah! So quick, if it’s your turn to pay  then head to the diner as breakfasts will cost about £6 and sandwiches will be as little as £2 – that’s […]

Fish Market: Review

We all know that sharing is caring and with this (possibly) in mind, Fish Market restaurant have launched a new sharing platter menu, The Fish Shack which is available at the weekends. Despite the rain that kept coming through in bursts we chose to sat outside; with plants winding around the railings hiding the bustle of Bishopsgate, large umbrellas forming a canopy across the whole terrace and heaters we were kept nice and snug, but if you’re able to go in the evening when it’s dry then the terrace is lovely with twinkling lights and flickering candles. The menu is […]

Radio Rooftop Bar: Review

The Radio Rooftop Bar at ME London, I’ve heard so much about it, recommended it to friends when they’ve asked for places to go and raved about it to others. I’ve just never quite made it there. So with the sun shining and thinking it would be the perfect time to experience the roof-top bar and see London in all its glory, I booked a table and then what happened? It rained. Did that deter us?  Of course it didn’t – we are true Brits after all, nor did it deter the rest of London since the bar was packed […]
