Diciannove in the City : Review

Since their launch back in September last year , Italian restaurant Diciannove in the City has maintained a steady flow of positive reviews.  Never one to miss out on a good Italian the Handbook hotfooted it to Blackfriars on Wednesday to check out what all the fuss was about.  Entering through the front entrance of The Crowne Plaza hotel we were curious how the restaurant would stand out from the four star venue. Quite quiet for a Wednesday evening , most of the diners were presumably guests from the hotel but a few larger groups were dotted around looking like […]

The menu consists of small dishes and a handful of larger […]

28-50 Review

28-50 has recently opened its third venue in the heart of Mayfair on Maddox Street which boasts their first ever champagne bar. 28-50’s great reputation precedes it as the venue is buzzing when we arrive, the atmosphere is relaxed and we excitedly settle in to order. The Aubergine with grilled courgettes, marinated peppers and goats curd is a simple but delicious starter; the ingredients were fresh and full of flavour. The Salmon Gravlax served with mustard sauce and sourdough toast was another delicious but safe choice, another venture might see us opting for a more daring starter. For our main […]

Edwin’s
