Leonardo da Vinci: The Mechanics of Man

An exhibition that sheds new light on Leonardo da Vinci’s anatomical work opens at The Queen’s Gallery, Palace of Holyroodhouse, in August and runs until November. Da Vinci is long renowned as one of the finest artists of the Renaissance and was also one of the greatest anatomists the world has ever seen. Although renowned mainly for his paintings, Leonardo was skilled in many fields including sculpting, architecture, music, engineering, anatomy and geology. He was clearly ahead of his time conceptualising a helicopter, tank and calculator amongst other things. Almost 500 years after his death, Leonardo da Vinci: The Mechanics of Man, part […]

Blinis, Bellinis and Espresso Martinis at The Tower of London

Steeped in history, the Tower of London, is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks and is home to Crown Jewels. And now there is something else very special about it too, Moving Venue is now one of the approved caterers for bespoke and corporate events.  The Handbook were lucky enough to go down and have a private viewing of the Crown Jewels before being able to try ‘blinis, bellinis and espresso martinis’ courtesy of Moving Venue. The jewel in the crown, excuse the pun, had to be the revolving bar (very dangerous for self discipline) where the bellinis and […]
