An Irish Plateau

What are you doing for St Paddy's Day?   Here's a tip (if, that is, you're not planning on falling over on the pavement from start to finish this Saturday 17th March ….)   Head to Canary Wharf. Why? Well, the bankers will have disappeared and despite it being the day for great Irish celebrations, the area will be fairly quiet and pleasant.   More excitingly, Plateau – a restaurant serving French bistro classics – is gifting its customers with Guinness and Steak Pies. Not just that – there will be a selection of Guinness-inspired cocktails at the bar, too. […]

Fowler’s photos all come from personal moments in his life – from his studio […]

Dorset Square Hotel

The Dorset Square Hotel was where it all began for Firmdale husband and wife team Tim and Kit Kemp. They bought the hotel in 1985 and let’s just say the rest is history. However being a rather ‘early adopter’ – it was sold off back in 2002 – you might not have heard of it til now. The Kemps reacquired the Dorset Square Hotel last year and have since been showing it a little love. They’ve embarked upon an extensive refurbishment so it’s currently being stamped good and proper with Kit Kemp’s signature style – all those bold colours and […]
