Bermondsey Italian restaurant Antico has added a kick to its dessert menu: homemade Campari gelato. However, until September, this is a special off-menu item and diners will have to whisper a secret and slightly embarrassing phrase to a waiter: 'have you got cold balls?' Open 24/7, it is inspired by broad European and British influences with a menu focused on sampling and sharing. Art director Alun Davies whose credits span both British and Italian Vogue is launching his debut art installation Dalston Supernova at Dalston Superstore. Curated by Saskia Wickins, expect a world of colourful, futuristic landscapes expressed in a multi-media environment of mural paintings, luminous neon sculpture, 3D props, film, photography and sculpted portraits. Davies has created a gallery of characters who act out narratives of relationships: love, death, battle and betrayal bedecked in his trademark costumes. Popular South Bank restaurant and bar, Baltic, reopens its doors today just in time for the Olympics, after a kitchen fire forced its closure for almost four weeks. Say’s owner Jan Woroniecki: “I’m delighted that after much anticipation, we’re opening in time.
