Eat 17 launches Bacon Jam

The brains behind the award-winning Walthamstow Spar and neighbouring Eat 17 restaurant have launched cult condiment, Bacon Jam, set to get foodies’ pulses racing country-wide. The versatile, umami-packed relish is made with prime British ingredients and the perfect addition to a burger, base for a canapé or secret ingredient for stews, pies and casseroles. Or you could just dollop it onto a cracker. We hear it all stems from the signature Eat 17 burger topping of onion jam and a rasher of bacon. Customers began to ask if they could take a jar home and Bacon Jam was born. C. […]

From now up until the 29th April (so hurry), Hix at Selfridges will be re-creating a collection of dishes which would have once adorned the Titanic's First Class tasting menu. Tequila Tom

Restaurateur and lover of all things Mexican, Tom Conran has just re-launched the super-premium Tequila Chamucos. Distilled using only 100% weber blue agave, it’s made in the alpine forests of Mazamitla in Jalisco from water drawn directly from the mountain rock. Classical music is played during the double distillation process, which is undertaken by women only, due to the natural lightness of touch of the fairer sex! Every bottle of Chamucos, or little devil, is made from hand-blown glass and its distinctive packaging draws upon the legends of pre-Hispanic Mexico. The brand was originally conceived by Mexican film director Antonio […]
