It's bewitched us for years now with its in-restaurant aquariums, calming trickling-water sounds and exquisite, constantly ever-modernising menus. It is the award-winning company's eight incarnation in London and it remains still a proud provider of Sustainable Fish (in March this year, Feng Sushi win the Sustainable Cities award in the food category). Architects Stiff + Trevillian have been in to ensure that the restaurant retains its tranquil setting, but this branch will come with the added bonus of having over 40 covers in total, […]

Summer's arrived! Well, kind of. Thankfully, in times of uncertain British weather, we have always fallen onto Spain's trusty shores for the unfailing dose of sunshine it always provides. But we love Spanish food just as much and this summer, Brindisa, the delicious Spanish chain in London is bringing us their very own Gazpacho recipe (available in the Brindisa shop and Whole Foods) to buy and have for ourselves. It's light, it's authentic and delicious and made out of the very best olive oil, onion, green pepper, garlic, sherry vinegar, tomatoes and cucumber the Spanish pros could get their hands […]

Champagne + Fromage

A new French inspired shop-cum-bistro has just opened its doors in Covent Garden’s Wellington Street. Focal point is an over-sized fromagerie alongside displays of Champagne, cheese and charcuterie. Mismatched furniture and reclaimed materials – including bright red chairs sourced from Parisian bistros and old wine crates – add to the Gallic ambiance. C + F is all about ‘grower Champagne’ meaning that it’s sourced from only the smallest, most independent producers – and offers 25 varieties from its cellar. Nicknamed 'farmer fizz,' it’s made entirely by producers in their very own vineyards, as opposed to blending together grapes from different […]
