The new Italian restaurant, deli and cicchetti bar opens tomorrow in Blackfriars’ Crowne Plaza London – The City Hotel. Executive chef is Alessandro Bay who trained under Michelin-starred Giorgio Locatelli. Expect authentic seasonal Italian dishes plus a drinks list featuring a range of aperitivo Campari and Aperol cocktails. The 120-cover restaurant, split between the main dining area, deli, bar and a private dining space, has been designed by specialist agency, Brand Architects. A Thieves Market of Flavours in Mayfair

Chor Bizarre in Mayfair is an exquisitely decorated Indian restaurant which has based its interior around its name meaning ‘thieves market’ with a mix of beautifully decorated chairs, tables and ornaments filling the dining area. The menus aren’t left out either as they are covered with detailed drawings of the markets with introductions to the dishes before listing the food. The starter of Aloo tikki chaat were nice potato patties filled with spiced lentil and green peas, served warm, topped with yoghurt, tamarind and mint chutney. They were pleasant but lacked the proper Indian spices to separate it from a […]

Gordon Ramsay Group’s Union Street Café opens today in Borough, foodie heartland of South East London. Davide Degiovanni takes the helm as head chef. This newest edition to SE1 is located in a converted warehouse. Degiovanni’s dishes will focus on seasonal ingredients sourced from selected Mediterranean produce with an emphasis on Italian artisan producers. The Elgin pub has launched its new Private Club Rooms at its Ladbroke Grove base, providing two additional dining rooms and a bar available for private hire. Situated on the first floor The Private Club Rooms can host large groups in their own space.
