Kensington Gardens have just opened their very first allotment since the Second World War, complete with 6 hens as permanent residents. Built on an old store yard, the area will be maintained by volunteers as well as being used as a resource for school children, who will be encouraged to get their hands dirty and even take home some fresh produce. The Royal Parks have also maintained a vegetable patch for NO 10 Downing street. So they are in good company.
Following a former incarnation as a tequila shooting PR executive with an enviable roster of drinks industry clients from Cazadores to Ketel One, flame haired firecracker, Ali Gunning realised that the human spirit lay deeper than the worm at the bottom of the bottle. Having practised yoga as a hobby for some time, she decided to take the plunge in earnest and travelled to India where she has spent months honing her art with leading gurus at the sub-continent’s top ashrams. Now back in the smoke, she’s determined to spread the love and share her new-found zest for life with […]
Louis Vuitton has unveiled a new campaign which is set to create a real stir! The campaign features a star line-up of Christy Turlington, Natalia Vordinova and Karen Elson. Shot by Steven Meisel in New York, it’s the label’s Vuitton’s most ladylike yet. “The strength of Louis Vuitton is its almost magical ability to reinvent itself every season,” said creative director Marc Jacobs. “Last season was all about the idea of the New Age traveller. This season was a manifesto for beautiful, ladylike clothes. Two different collections, two different campaigns, but one Louis Vuitton.” In keeping with the ultra-feminine, sophisticated […]

Choose from classic vegetable dishes including Mango Pulissery […]
Is Geoff Leong on a mission to take over London with his modern Chinese and Taiwanese fare? We reported in March that the entrepreneur had reopened Hampstead celebrity favourite, Goldfish following a massive refurb and expansion. An authentic dim sum trolley of steamed, aromatic parcels will certainly make a working lunch a speedy affair. But in addition to emerald green spinach, […]

And the new Beer Genie website that hit the net in May with its facts and trivia on, well, beer, is doing its level best to encroach upon what little time the world’s football fans are devoting to their desk jobs! And if you need any proof, the site’s geek department has been keeping a watchful eye on traffic and shhhh, the ISPs of the companies frequenting its pages. So, Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Nationwide, Legal and General, Royal Bank of Scotland, Société Générale, PriceWaterhouse, Bank […]
Soho’s Maison Bertaux – London’s oldest cake shop and patisserie is all set to showcase a stunning new art exhibition from multi-talented comedian, Noel Fielding. The first was greeted with much critical acclaim but this event promises to be more high profile still and Serge from Kasabian has even devised an original piece of […]
