Madonna fronts Dolce & Gabbana

Madonna will front the new campaign for Dolce and Gabbana, it has been confirmed. Stefano Gabbana said she will front the campaign for the autumn/winter 2010 womenswear range. Speculation had been rife the 51-year-old singer would be the face of the Italian duo’s autumn/winter 2010 womenswear range, following the success of her adverts for the fashion house last year, and now Stefano Gabbana has spoken of his excitement. This year Soneva by Six Senses is launching the Slow Life Thairi award system, whereby celebrity chefs are being invited to both Soneva Fushi and Soneva Gili in the Maldives and asked to assess the current standard of cuisine on offer. They have been asked to award ‘Thairi’s’, the Maldivian word for star, at the end of their stay at the resorts. Heston at Henley

Compass Group have joined forces with Michelin-starred chef Tom Aikens to relaunch the dining operation at Somerset House this month as Tom’s Kitchen and Tom's Terrace. The chef, who currently operates Tom’s Kitchen and an eponymous restaurant in Chelsea, will oversee the dining operation at Somerset House with the launch of a second Tom’s Kitchen and Tom’s Terrace, the venue’s summer-only terrace restaurant.
