The Michelin-starred St John first opened in Smithfield in 1994 with more casual sister restaurant, St John Bread and Wine following in Spitalfields nine years later. Lubatti revolution in skin care

With Summer on its way, we can throw away those thick winter creams, and say hello to a summer glow. Now I have tried practically every skin cream under the roof to try and get rid of dry facial skin, either the cream is too thick and and makes skin look dull, or it’s too light and does not quite do the trick.  Nothing seemed to work until a friend of mine suggested I tried the Lubatti Skincare Collection which is an exclusive and timeless range of luxury skincare products that have stood the test of time.  The products were inspired and developed using secret […]

Savoy to re-open 10th October

Exciting news !! After being closed for nearly three years, the Savoy hotel will finally reopen on 10th October. The 268-bedroom hotel was originally scheduled to be closed for 16 months to allow the £100m-refurbishment to take place, apparently this delay – to almost a year later than intended was due to  the extensive nature of the refit – which has seen the Victorian building being stripped back to the bone as well as a reconfiguration of the riverside façade – has delayed the project and seen its cost escalate to what some believe is double the original budget. "It […]

Spuntino

The capital’s Italian restaurants are all about the bambini right now. We’ve already reported that Jacob Kenedy’s Bocca di Lupo has just opened a brand new gelateria and deli but hot off the press, Russell Norman’s Venetian Bacaro, Polpo, is popping out a little 24-seater number called Spuntino in October. The name Spuntino means little snack in Italian. Like Polpo, there will be small plates aplenty but the menu, devised by Russell Norman and Head Chef Tom Oldroyd, will mix its native Italian influences with those of down-town New York with a veritable feast of mini macs ‘n’ cheese, […]

Historic Royal Palaces is teaming up with Peyton Events to host a series of intimate Georgian-inspired dinners in stunning Kew Palace. Courtyard @ 51

Once again The Courtyard at Buckingham Gate promises Arabian Nights spent under the London stars. The garden and terrace, now in its second year, has added a new raised dining veranda for the summer season. Centrepiece for the courtyard itself is a fountain adorned with cherubs and a Shakespearean frieze sweeps along the terracotta façade of the townhouses surrounding the garden. A new menu of new boutique cocktails designed by Grand Marnier is the perfect way to lose an afternoon in style and we love the Grand Esprit (elderflower & strawberry refresher). But it's after the sun has set that […]
