New Ownership for The Priory

No, not the famous rehab clinic. It’s Kensington’s Priory House that has come under new ownership and is set to be converted into a gastropub called The Jam Tree. Entrepreneurs Ashley Letchford, Yann Roberts and Sam O’Riordan have bought the leasehold of the Priory House in W14 comprising a 60-cover main bar, a 40-cover basement bar and a 20-cover external seating area. Bannatyne buys Charlton House

Dragons’ Den star Duncan Bannatyne has rescued West Country hotel Charlton House from administration, saving 62 jobs at the property. The Bannatyne Group has acquired the four-star, Grade II listed hotel in Shepton Mallett, Somerset, from administrators BDO. Harrods Sold

Iconic British Store Harrods has been sold by its Egyptian born owner Mohammed Al Fayed it has been revealed. The Store, which was founded in 1898 and featured Englands first Escalator, has been the subject of numerous takeover attempts in the past 30 years, most notably by tycoon ‘Tiny’ Rowland.  Mr Al-Fayed has repeatedly denied that the store would be sold, despite rumours of talks with the Quatari Royal Family, for several months.
