London Revolution

London Fashion Week has always been the edgier, slightly off-beat cousin to the rest of the fashion world – but now the British Fashion Council are making moves to promote British designers across the USA, in the hope of stoking new business interests. From now on, LFW and its runway stars will be represented by People’s Revolution, the US based PR firm headed up by the infamous Kelly Cutrone (and more commonly known as the ex-workplace of America’s reality show sweetheart Whitney Port of The Hills fame). With a wealth of global brands under their belt – Agent Provocatuer, Christie’s, […]

Sanderson Rocks

It’s official The Sanderson rocks. Well to be fair, it’s always rocked but now London’s favourite hipster hotel is playing host to a brand new music series. On selected Thursday nights throughout the summer from 7pm, the venue’s exquisite courtyard garden is staging live sessions appropriately named, Sanderson Predicts. So bag yourself a table (booking essential!) and kick back to the sounds of the UK’s hottest new artists amidst this exotic urban oasis of flowering trees and fountains. We’ll be drinking Oriental Daiquiris – a suitably decadent blend of Bacardi rum with fresh strawberries, ginger and lemongrass. On July 16th […]

Sushinho a go go

Dinner at Japanese Brazilian fusion restaurant Sushinho (work with me here – it’s not as strange a combo as it sounds. Brazil has a massive Japanese population and more sushi than you can shake a chop stick at)  was only marred by the fact that Robbie Williams had been in the previous evening and we hadn’t! Though to be fair, my rock chick friend was more upset at missing AC/DC’s Brian Johnson who had also made an appearance earlier in the week. However, Paul, the master mixologist’s cocktail menu soon cheered us up with Caipirinhas, special Sushinho Sakeirinhas, bright […]

One&Other

Head down to Trafalgar Square this week (or indeed at any point over the next 100 days) to get a glimpse of artist Antony Gormley’s “living monument” on the hotly debated empty Fourth Plinth. The creative “venue” has caused many an argument in recent times as to what sort of artwork deserves such a platform, typically adorned by statues of Kings and Generals of yore. Gormley will be testing out a new artistic venture different from his own usual pieces and anything the general public has seen before. Every hour, a different member of the public, chosen at random from the 14000 […]

Dorchester Spa

The hugely anticipated Dorchester Spa has finally reopened and it's well worth the wait. Inspired by 1930s art deco, the spa has nine sound proof treatment rooms, two double suites, a mani-pedi suite, as well as a relaxation room that you'll never want to leave. Upon entering the reception, it's as if you've reached arcadia, with its glamorous and completely white interior it manages to remain natural and pure, yet still impossibly stylish. With an impressive list of treatments it's difficult to know which one your body craves more. I had the rose cocoon wrap which exfoliates,  tones and then moisturises […]

My Sole

I love my new soles. Oh I do adore a new pair of shoes but  I am normally drawn to those glamorous over priced, shockingly high, unbelievably painful party shoes that sit beautifully in my wardrobe and are rarely worn. But this week my heart was stolen. I have fallen deeply in love with a a pair of shoes called Martha. And they are glamorous but not over priced, shockingly flat as they’re pumps and unbelievably comfortable. But best of all they are  perfect for any party. There is a reason these are perfect shoes and thats because a great deal […]
