Italian restaurant group Il Calcio’s London Openings

The established Romanian-based Italian restaurant group Il Calcio is set to open two new restaurants in London. Il Calcio Mayfair will be the group's flagship restaurant based on North Audley Street launching in late November, with the second location on Old Brompton Road set to open in December. Il Calcio is led by acclaimed chef and owner Valentino Salagean serving authentic Italian food in a relaxed atmosphere managed by Leandro Longo.

We hear that Gordon Ramsay alumnus, super chef Jason Atherton of Pollen Street fame has just taken possession of a site on Poland Street,  where he plans to open a new restaurant with a bar called The Social Eating House, in partnership with his long standing head chef Paul Hood.
