One for those who carry out their everyday tasks in their active-wear, Sweatlife has returned for another year and we’re pumped. Canadian apparel brand Lululemon will host the sweaty shenanigans next month, and whilst most might associate festival with copious amounts of glitter, the inability to shower and the occasional mosh-pit, Sweatlife introduces a whole different, and much healthier, meaning. After last year’s success, the event has moved from one day to two, taking place this year on 23rd-24thJune. A day at Sweatlife festival will see you witness a sea of down-ward dog positioned, Lululemon wearing yogis, attempting to master […]
I hope you’re across the whole ‘it’s a bank holiday’ thing last bank holiday I turned up to work only to wonder why nobody else was showing up and wondering if the rapture had happened while I was making my cereal. But given how much is going on in this week’s bumper ‘what to do this weekend’ guide it will be impossible to forget. Roll on the long weekend!
If you thought Gatsby awkwardly waiting for Daisy in a room exploding with flowers was a blooming eyeful, wait until you grab a look at D&D luxury restaurant groups’ #BlossomCity18 campaign. #BlossomCity18 campaign mixes the best of both worlds with Moët & Chandon champagne, and florals everywhere, quite literally. The restaurants will have a range of flower-inspired menus, cocktails and installations, sure to alleviate the post Chelsea flower show blues. The Summer 2018 catwalks were nothing if not awash with bold crayola block colours, and really quite beautiful pastel, gelato-styled tones. With this said, it’s without a doubt that this […]
When Spotify and Starbucks joined forces it was the soundtrack to our morning coffee run. EVA Air and Hello Kitty’s collab saw us all want to take to the skies (more than usual), and Apple and Hermes’ partnership meant an added sexiness to the apple watch made it a whole lot more wearable. The moral of the story? When two business brains join forces, great things can most certainly happen, and has happened, in the form of Fork to Fork food festival. Created by Wahaca co-founder Thomasina Miers, and Caravan co-founder Laura Harper-Hinton, the food festival, which launched in June […]
Truman’s is back! Again! Truman’s have been making beer from East London since 1666 and their legacy is writ across London, inscribed on pubs throughout the capital. But in 1989 Truman’s closed its doors seemingly for good, the brewery was sold off and is now an events and creative space. That is, until a couple of beer enthusiasts decided to rescue the dormant brand and set up Truman’s mk 2 in 2010. Going from strength to strength Truman’s beer has been such a success that the brewery is opening its first pub in decades. The Newman Arms in Fitzrovia is an […]
The annual summer Beach Bar at The Montague on the Gardens is back, bringing a little slice of the Bahamas to Bloomsbury. They’re shipping in the real sand, they’ve got the beach-hut, they’re mixing up the Pina Coladas and now this year they’re serving up the bottomless brunch too in the conservatory. Every weekend throughout June you’ll be able to drink Pina Coladas, Sex on the Beach, Vodka Melon Cooler, Mimosas and Bloody Marys for two hours and will be able to tuck into sharing platters of avocado and smoked salmon on granary toast, black pudding scotch eggs, Cumberland sausage […]
We’re only human, and as much as we love a classic Negroni or a vodka martini, throw some candyfloss or a few extra umbrellas and Maraschino cherries in our cocktails and we’re happy as Larry (don’t try to deny it). Low and behold, I couldn’t help but smile when I saw that South Place Hotel has launched its ‘Poptails’ drinks collab with Joe & Seph’s Gourmet Popcorn. In an age where you’d be classified as utterly boring if seen indulging in sweet or salty popcorn, Joe & Seph’s drinks list will feature some very innovative popcorn combos – quite literally […]
This week a new train, The Murdér Express, will be pulling out of London, making a voyage from Pedley Street Station to Murdér in France and there’s a ticket with your name on it. Championing the golden age of travel when people took train journeys for pleasure, fares probably weren’t so hideous you need to try and get your hands on a rare railcard and they served more than just lukewarm tea and chocolate, The Murdér Express is an immersive experience which will transport you back to the 19th century. Visit the Seven Sins Bar as your luggage is packed […]
The last day of the week is for Spotify’s sweet soul Sunday playlist and a good old roast, otherwise is it really Sunday? Luckily, for those amongst us who lounge out with a blanket all day before sauntering to our prime Sunday lunch location, you’ll be pleased to hear that Jones & Sons have mastered the Yorkshire pud and all the trimmings dish to a T, and have now opened a second restaurant to boot. Five nail-biting years have gone by with the Jones & Sons lovers amongst us lying in wait for owner Andy Jones to open a second […]
This one is for all the men out there. Ever noticed that spa days are, well, a little bit girly? Fluffy packages aimed at girls who’ve just broken up with their boyfriends or girls celebrating a birthday, or girls celebrating an anniversary or girls being treated by their new boyfriend. What us men need is girthy, not girly. Which is where Four Seasons Trinity Square come in. The city-based hotel has just launched a their Men’s Urban Retreat package aimed at ‘men on the go’ and it looks like the days of gossiping to therapists about divorce proceedings are over. […]
