Brook Green brasserie, Mustard, will be doing just that over the next few months as they invite three of their favourite chefs in to cook up different roasts. Starting on 14th May, Marc Wainwright, Head Chef at Le Vacherin in Chiswick will be celebrating spring with a roast leg of lamb accompanied by duck fat roast potatoes, stem broccoli, glazed carrots, Yorkshire puddings and apple crumble and clotted cream for pudding. Dine Up Close and Personal With a Michelin-Starred Chef

We all love eating in Michelin-starred restaurants and we love attempting to recreate the food at home (the key here being ‘attempting’) but sometimes our interpretations of dishes aren’t quite like the real deal… You’ll be wanting to make room on your cookery bookshelf because Michelin starred chef Nathan Outlaw has written up a new cookbook, Home Kitchen. It’s his fourth book but it’s the first to have everything covered – and we mean everything – from meat and fish right through to dessert. He’ll be launching his book with a dinner (how else?!), showcasing some recipes from the book at […]

Cocktails and Coding: The Ultimate Masterclass

The tech industry is booming and code is all the rage but somehow we’ve missed the boat – it seems that even children are more advanced than us when it comes to coding, and the tech industry remains predominantly male. Sanderson has teamed up with coding experts, Code First: Girls, to host a series of tech-focused events, helping women take the reigns in the tech industry and just generally demystify the world of coding. Kicking off the series will be a ‘Women in Tech’ panel discussion, chaired by Holly Brockwell, editor of female-focused tech website gadgette.com. Holly will be joined by […]

Female Chefs Unite for Pink Plates Fundraiser

There are over 86 million photos on Instagram with the hashtag ‘pink’ and the London restaurant scene is proving suitably on trend with pastel pink interiors galore. It seems people just can’t get enough and we’re about to give you another reason to #pink. 10 of London’s Best Tapas Restaurants

We love tapas. There’s something about being able to try a whole range of different dishes that satisfies every single tastebud and subconsciously makes you feel like you’ve eaten less than you probably (actually) have. You’ll soon know your Brindisa from your Barrafina and your Boqueria from your Bocca di Lupo. Work your way through the list or just head to Soho; it’s a good place to start. Prepare for buzzy atmospheres and informality and prepare to queue; most don’t take reservations but are well worth the wait.

DIY Smores, Table Top Barbecuing and Spanish Gin Cocktails

Southbank is getting a summer pop-up. We’ve seen the urban beach, the roller disco and the helter skelter but this time around there’s a foodie focus as pop-up king, Jimmy Garcia launches The BBQ Club. A walk-up BBQ bar means you can saunter along the river, Aberdeen Angus steak burger in hand, but for the real experience you’ll want to head upstairs to the rooftop dining area. A 6-course tasting menu will be prepared for guests by their very own chef at a Big Green Egg grill (aka the ultimate piece of BBQ equipment) resembling a kind of intimate supper […]

40 Michelin Stars, 30 Chefs, 1 Community Kitchen

As food lovers we are certainly conscious about the sourcing of our food, and both the environmental and ethical effects involved in its production (just think of all the ‘seasonal, British menus’ out there) but it’s all too easy for our awareness to stop the minute that last mouthful has been swallowed. The behind the scenes impact of food waste has been brought to light recently, with incredible initiatives like the wastED pop-up restaurant at Selfridges and Skye Gyngell’s Scratch menu at her Somerset House restaurant, Spring which uses leftovers in innovative ways to make creative menus for their discerning, […]
