It was back in 2000 that she was commissioned by the BBC to make ten documentary films in Nevada brothels such as Madam Kitty's Cathouse and Moonlite Bunnyranch but she returned there three years ago – this time with her plate camera. The quirky lighting artist has set up shop in The Sanderson Hotel. Visitors will find pieces such as Duck Desk Lamp (pictured) and Squirrel Wall Light, both of which use her controversial form of taxidermy. The lighting shop is housed in a dedicated retail space off the main reception level. A design exhibition is set to showcase shortlisted entries to RIBA and the Landscape Institute’s design competition to create a striking new identity for the area in and around Vauxhall – a stretch of land dubbed the ‘Missing Link’ between the new US Embassy and London’s South Bank.
