Earlier this week The Handbook headed to speakeasy Purl for a little bit of Monday night jazz and Quintessentially vodka cocktails! Situated beneath Blandford Street – Purl is a wonderful Victorian-esque den and mishmash of ornate glass tables, low – lighting, chandeliers, wing -back chairs, chintzy lamps, sofas and dark corners perfect for being secretive in on dates; or depending on how your date is going – hiding from them! This, the newest project from Oskar Kinberg and Ollie Dabbous will be headed up by General Manager Charlie Bolton (Dabbous, Burger and Lobster Mayfair) and Chef Joseph Woodland (The Square, Launceston Place)when it opens later this month. The newly refurbished The Builder’s Arms in Kensington is now even bigger thanks to a new upstairs area complete with wraparound leather banquette seating and its very own bar. Pendant lighting, whitewashed eaves and exposed brickwork complete the loft style vive. The third Workshop Coffee Co. site launches 17th March at Holborn Viaduct within Amazon’s new state-of-the art HQ.
