Trip Kitchen

Trip Kitchen is a new restaurant and bar just launched in Haggerston, East London and headed-up by Selin Kiazim (former Head Chef at Peter Gordon’s Kopapa restaurant). Located within a converted railway arch on Regent’s Canal, the design showcases the venue’s heritage with the original brickwork lit throughout. The kitchen and bar are decked in raw wood cladding and the restaurant seating has a Skandi-feel with brightly coloured accents. Kiazim has curated the Modern Turkish menu, inspired by her Turkish Cypriot heritage and taking inspiration from around the globe with Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavours and ingredients. “It is exciting […]

Skylon: Review

Having heard mixed reviews of Skylon I was intrigued by what would be in store when we escaped the winter chill of South Bank and headed into the restaurant last week. For a Tuesday night both the restaurant and grill were bustling, drinkers surrounded the bar and almost all the tables were full. Being situated in the Royal Festival Hall, means that there is a steady stream of those in the pursuit of culture looking for a pre-theatre or exhibition meal and there is no doubt as well that Skylon’s views across the Thames are definitely in its favour. Starting […]

The Imperial Review

A new all-day restaurant, ‘The Imperial’, has opened in Fulham, and we were bursting to try it out. So bright and early on Saturday morning, that’s just what we did. The lunch and dinner menus both look delicious, but we’re always on the look out for a new place in Fulham that does the perfect sleepy weekend breakfast/brunch, so that’s the meal we opted for. This was the first Saturday that The Imperial had been open for breakfast, so it was fairly quiet, but that doesn’t reflect the quality of the food or service. The restaurant is very modern and […]
