VQ, the 24 hour café & diner that started life in Chelsea some 18 years ago is opening  a new restaurant in Great Russell Street tomorrow.  With a 45ft glass frontage and 120 covers, it’s a totally self-contained space on the ground floor of the 720 bedroom St Giles Hotel. The Bibendum Oyster Bar reopens in the ground floor of Michelin House on Monday 4 November following a redesign by founding partner Sir Terence Conran and Richard Doone of Paramount Architects and there’s a brand new all-day menu and breakfast menu too. Architect Zaha Hadid’s first designed restaurant space in central London opens this Friday 1 November at the new Serpentine Sackler Gallery in Kensington Gardens. The venue is operated by K&K London Ltd with head chef, Oliver Lange, a past guest chef for Kofler & Kompanie’s Pret A Diner events in London. Bompas & Parr Launch ‘The Soyer Memorial Library’

Following the launch of Bompas & Parr’s own publishing house, Bompas & Parr Editions, on 8 November 2013 Bompas & Parr will launch a small library, featuring some of its more luxurious cookbooks drawn from the studio’s in-house culinary library, including Dali’s, Tolouse-Lautrec’s, and romance-novelist Barbara Cartland’s cookbooks. Dedicated to Alexis Soyer, Victorian celebrity chef, philanthropist, showman, and one of Bompas & Parr’s culinary heroes, the library will become a permanent feature at the Bompas & Parr studio, and will regularly open to visitors. Robyn and Robert Wilson, founders of London's Bleeding Heart and The Don restaurants, are launching new bistro and bar, The Sign of the Don close to Bank Station and adjacent to The Don itself. New addition to Hoxton Square is Red Dog American Sandwiches, an east London take on the American sub. Brains behind the venture is Tom Brookes, a pioneer of the gourmet, fast food scene, having opened American burger joint Red Dog Saloon back in 2011.
