New Year’s Eve 1

Clichéd it may be, but we have to say it: how on earth is another year over already? The winning theme this year is clearly The Great Gatsby, but there are plenty of other options too, from sophisticated 5-, 6- and 7-course dinner menus, to NYE-themed film screenings and a winter wonderland grotto. Whichever you choose, make it a night to remember. Aqua Shard Start […]

Blackfoot

If you like pork, you’ll probably like Blackfoot, Tom Ward (former ops manager at Leon) and Allegra McEvedy’s new pork-inspired restaurant on Exmouth Market. Comments McEvedy: 'I’ve always had an emotional attachment to all things porky, so opening a pig-centric restaurant is a bit of a dream come true. The menu is characterful, fun, and not exclusively piggy, bringing together other ingredients and flavours that sit well in the face of such porcinicity.' The kitchen is headed up by James Knight (Copita) and the menu included dishes such as the long smoke (slow-roasted belly with Szechuan pepper and black treacle), […]

The Imperial Review

A new all-day restaurant, ‘The Imperial’, has opened in Fulham, and we were bursting to try it out. So bright and early on Saturday morning, that’s just what we did. The lunch and dinner menus both look delicious, but we’re always on the look out for a new place in Fulham that does the perfect sleepy weekend breakfast/brunch, so that’s the meal we opted for. This was the first Saturday that The Imperial had been open for breakfast, so it was fairly quiet, but that doesn’t reflect the quality of the food or service. The restaurant is very modern and […]
