UK’s first alcoholic yoghurt

Frozen yoghurt, coconut yoghurt… alcoholic yoghurt was only a matter of time. Gourmet yoghurt producer, The Collective, has created a Raspberry & Amaretto limited edition pot that’s strictly for grown-ups. Tangy, fresh raspberry compote has been spiked with classic Italian almond liqueur in a double layer of intense flavour, all folded through thick and creamy yoghurt. The Collective founders may be chefs from New Zealand but this new flavour is made in Britain using only the best West Country milk. It’s also free from any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, and suitable for vegetarians or those with gluten-free diets. But […]

Ping Pong’s V&A cocktail launch

This Autumn, the V&A has collaborated with Ping Pong to create a selection of cocktails to celebrate the opening of the Masterpieces of Chinese Painting 700-1900 exhibition, which is due to launch at the V&A in late October. The cocktails are available now and will include two inspired by Wang Mian’s ‘Fragrant Snow at Broken Bridge’ and the V&A’s silk banner paintings: the Plum and Liqourice Sour, which is a deep purple short drink with intense plum and liquorice flavours, and the Smoked Apricot and Spicy Almond cocktail, a spicy long drink underpinned with soft apricot tones. The Meat Co

After a mesmerising walk from the Car Park below Westfield shopping centre out on to the Restaurants South Terrace, it took a few wrong turns until we found the bright red awning ‘The Meat and Wine Company’. As I entered the large, spacious downstairs bar, it rather reminded me of a big East-African hotel lobby. However, as I gazed around, the orangey, mud and red coloured walls in this mellow lit room were decorated in subtle but classy mask like African decor. We were welcomed by smiley staff who guided us upstairs to the restaurant, lift or stairs – we […]

Eight’s mixologists have created a concoction of cocktails –  try the signature Bee’s Knees of Orange infused vodka, Grand Marnier and a touch of lemon.
