Techy Japanese restaurant inamo celebrates its 5th anniversary this September with a five course birthday menu and special drinks promotions. The Smokehouse has just opened in Islington from Scott Hunter and Maria Larsen, the couple behind The Princess of Shoreditch, The Lady Ottoline and The Pig and Butcher. Head chef is Neil Rankin (John Salt). The idea is to celebrate delicious, seasonal food from great suppliers alongside craft beers (20 on tap), hand-pulled local ales and an exclusively European wine list from only small family vineyards. A technology focussed new restaurant is set to open its doors on Beak Street in September. Grillshack is to be a quick all day counter service grill with both eat in and take out options available til late, seven days a week. Tommi’s Burger Joint, which launched last year in Marylebone as a pop-up has just re-opened in a brand new permanent venue on Thayer Street. The intimate American-style diner from Iceland, is the creation of Icelandic entrepreneur Tomas Tómasson, who has launched nearly 20 restaurants and hotels in his native Iceland.
