Opening today in Hoxton Square is the debut solo venture from Matt Edwards, previously of St John Hotel and Hix Soho. It’s inspired by Manhattan, and along with Head Chef Luke Cleghorn (ex-St John Bread & Wine, St John Hotel), Edwards has created a seasonal menu with a focus on the new Heath Robinson charcoal grill. The Lobster Festival

Lovers of lobster will be delighted to hear of an event dedicated to the crustaceans! They take centre stage at The Grill on the Market in Smithfield this March – for a month long Lobster Festival. Sneak Peak at Salvador

It’s a shame when an evening doesn’t quite live up to expectations. Last night saw the Handbook team head over to the greatly anticipated opening of Salvador & Amanda’s second London venue in Bloomsbury. Although promised canapés and cocktails, we were disappointed to see that the only ‘cocktail’ served was weak sangria spiced up with chopped fruit, and canapés were more nibbles – deli meats, sliced cheese and miniscule chips. Who’s Cooking Dinner

Next Monday, 4 March, 20 chefs from London’s finest restaurants will be heading to the Four Seasons Hotel on Park Lane to cook dinner for Leuka’s annual Who’s Cooking Dinner fundraiser from in aid of Leukaemia research.  The event has been taking place for over a decade and every year, the world’s top 20 chefs prepare a four course meal for 200 diners. Matt Robinson joins Bluebird Chelsea as Head Chef

D&D London is thrilled to announce the appointment of Matt Robinson to the position of head chef at Bluebird Chelsea. He will be taking over the Bluebird kitchen, replacing Mark Block.
