London is gearing up for the gastronomic equivalent of Glastonbury: Taste of London 2011 in Regent’s Park. So arm yourself with an empty stomach and a pocketful of Crowns (the Taste currency) and prepare for some serious eating, drinking and general merriment. One of London's favourite hotels is celebrating its fiftieth year in business with the publication of a specially commissioned book, candidly documenting its colourful and glamorous past. New balls at Bluebird

For summer, Bluebird  Chelsea  has  teamed  up  with Veuve Clicquot with the courtyard being transformed into the next best thing to Wimbledon's iconic Centre Court. The Lazy Lawn has been laid and a 3-metre outdoor screen installed so prepare for all the tennis action live from the Championships.   In addition, the venue will be hosting outdoor movie screenings from Monday 20 until Wednesday 23 June. Mahiki Motel

This summer Polynesian paradise Mahiki, beloved by Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Kate Moss, Rihanna and Emma Watson (to name but a few celebrity guests) and erstwhile favourite of Kate Middleton is launching two brand new concepts – a dining area in the lounge and the enigmatically titled No-Tell Motel Room.
