We Review: Mac & Wild Great Titchfield Street

What? Think Scottish food and you most likely think of haggis, battered Mars Bar, Irn Bru and tatties, but just as we know that there is more to English food than fish and chips and sausage and mash; Mac & Wild, is a Scottish restaurant that will take you on a journey to the Scottish highlands via the finest wild venison, game and seafood. New? Nope, the first Mac & Wild opened in the autumn of 2016, it was soon followed by a pop-up in Devonshire Square, that went permanent last year. Where? The original Mac & Wild can be […]

The Woman Making African Cuisine Mainstream

French cooking is almost ubiquitous, French chefs and menus dominate any list of London’s top restaurants. And it’s not that we’re unadventurous and only willing to try the cuisine of the country next door, Indian curries are practically a British national dish. But when it comes to African food, we simply haven’t ‘got it’ yet. Which is where Zoe Adjonyoh comes in. Adjonyoh founded Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen with the intention of bringing African food and culture to the masses. Eight years after she began evangelising in the form of a string of sell-out supper clubs, a hugely successful popup at […]

Strictly No Nipples: Everything You Need To Know About The New Annabel’s

I’ve got a soft spot for Annabel’s, after all I had my stag party there and, from what I’ve been able to piece together, it was jolly fine too. Perfectly decadent, reassuringly exclusive and packed full of wonderful people, Annabel’s was the quintessential nightclub. Old Annabel’s was always, and is, a magnet for magnates, brimming with fascinating people; a place where Royals rubbed metaphoric shoulders with financiers, politicians got drunk with crooks and film stars wafted their Hollywood magic. But, like a little too many of their members, the club needed a facelift. And so it has spent the last […]
